Product Name |
 |
Series 5803 Board to Board Connector

 |
Outline |
 |
While further miniaturization and multifunctionality have continually been required in consumer electronic equipment such as cell phones, smartphones, digital still cameras (DSC), digital video cameras (DVC), digital audio players and game consoles; in recent years, the number of components incorporated into such equipment has also increased. Under these conditions, miniaturization of components is also demanded to make effective use of the limited space on boards.
The newly developed 5803 Series has achieved the smallest-class profile in the industry, with a distance between boards of only 0.5mm when the plug and receptacle connectors are mated, and at 2.4mm, has the smallest depth in the industry*. These properties allow for further space-saving on boards, as well as its low profile contributes to slim design capabilities. |
Features |
 |
| 1. |
A great deal of space saving is achieved on a PCB with its minimum size of in industry* 0.5mm in mating height and 2.4mm in depth. |
| 2. |
Pattern can be laid out between connector leads, which is suitable for high density package, because no metal is exposed on the bottom of the connector besides its slim and low profile. |
| 3. |
Double-sided contact structure is adopted to enhance the resistance to vibration or drop shock. The Twin-rib structure that is employed for the shape of contact on plug side, which eliminates foreign obstacles such as splash of the flux, chips of boards separation and so on, and ensures the high contact reliability.
|
| 4. |
Original locking structure is adopted for mating lock mechanism that realizes the firm clicking response and enhances the retention force when connectors unmated even with their low profile. |
| 5. |
Packaged in tape and reel: 3,000 pieces/reel. |
| 6. |
RoHS compliant product. |
